By accessing this website, using our services, submitting information, making a payment, placing a deposit, reserving cattle, or purchasing from Saphire Cove Ranch, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Use and Cattle Sales Policy, referred to as the “Agreement,” govern your use of the Saphire Cove Ranch website, including any related pages, listings, enquiry forms, reservation forms, sales communications, cattle information, images, content, and services.
The website is operated by Saphire Cove Ranch, referred to in this policy as “Saphire Cove Ranch,” “we,” “our,” or “us.” The words “you,” “your,” “buyer,” or “customer” refer to any person accessing the website, submitting information, reserving cattle, or purchasing from us.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use this website, submit an enquiry, place a deposit, reserve an animal, or purchase cattle from Saphire Cove Ranch.
2. Website Ownership
This website is owned and operated by Saphire Cove Ranch. All website content, including text, images, graphics, logos, cattle descriptions, design elements, layout, downloadable materials, and other content, is owned by Saphire Cove Ranch or used with permission from partners, contributors, photographers, or third-party providers.
Website content may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, republished, displayed, sold, scraped, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission from Saphire Cove Ranch.
3. Authorized Use of Website
You may use this website only for lawful purposes, including learning about Saphire Cove Ranch, viewing available Mini Highland cattle, submitting enquiries, requesting information, and communicating with us about cattle availability, care, reservation, pickup, or transport.
When using this website, you agree that you will not:
- Violate any applicable local, state, federal, or international law.
- Submit false, misleading, inaccurate, defamatory, or deceptive information.
- Use this website if you are under 18 years of age or unable to enter into a legally binding agreement.
- Interfere with website security, functionality, servers, hosting, forms, or payment systems.
- Use bots, scraping tools, data mining software, automated extraction tools, or similar systems without written permission.
- Copy, misuse, or commercialize our images, listings, descriptions, branding, or cattle information.
- Attempt to manipulate pricing, availability, reservations, listings, or sales communications.
- Post false, harmful, misleading, or defamatory statements about Saphire Cove Ranch.
- Distribute spam, malware, viruses, harmful code, or unsolicited bulk communications through or in connection with our website.
- Harvest customer, visitor, or business information without consent.
4. Cattle Information & Availability
Saphire Cove Ranch makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate information about available Mini Highland cattle, including age, gender, color, temperament, expected size, parent information where available, pricing, reservation status, and pickup or transport guidance.
However, cattle are living animals, and certain details may change over time. Coat color, temperament, size, maturity, condition, and behavior may develop as the animal grows. Photos, videos, descriptions, and size estimates are provided for general guidance and should not be treated as absolute guarantees unless specifically stated in a written sales agreement.
Availability is subject to change without notice. A calf or cow is not considered reserved, held, or sold until Saphire Cove Ranch confirms the reservation or purchase and required payment has been received.
5. Mini Highland Size, Color & Breed Representation
“Mini Highland” is commonly used to describe smaller-framed Highland-type cattle. Size categories may vary by breeder, registry, and bloodline. Saphire Cove Ranch may provide estimated mature size information based on available knowledge, parent size, age, genetics, and prior growth patterns, but no exact mature height or weight is guaranteed unless stated in a separate written agreement.
Coat colors may also change as cattle mature. Calves may lighten, darken, develop highlights, or show seasonal coat changes. Buyers should understand that color descriptions are based on current appearance and reasonable expectations at the time of listing or communication.
6. Buyer Responsibility
By enquiring, reserving, or purchasing cattle from Saphire Cove Ranch, you confirm that you understand cattle are living livestock and require proper long-term care. Buyers are responsible for ensuring they have a suitable property, safe fencing, adequate space, shelter, feed, hay, minerals, fresh water, companionship, veterinary access, and safe handling arrangements before taking possession of any animal.
You represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
- All information you provide to Saphire Cove Ranch is accurate and truthful.
- You have reviewed the cattle information before placing a deposit or completing a purchase.
- You understand that owning cattle involves ongoing costs and responsibilities.
- You accept responsibility for safe transport, unloading, housing, and care after pickup or delivery.
7. Health, Care & Limited Warranty
Saphire Cove Ranch is committed to raising Mini Highland cattle with responsible care, proper observation, suitable nutrition, and attention to animal wellbeing. We make reasonable efforts to ensure cattle are cared for and appear healthy before pickup, delivery, or transfer of possession.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, cattle are sold as living animals on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Once cattle leave the care, custody, and control of Saphire Cove Ranch, the buyer assumes responsibility for the animal, including but not limited to veterinary care, transport stress, injury, illness, feed, housing, handling, quarantine, and all future costs.
Because livestock health can be affected by transport, environment, nutrition, stress, handling, climate, exposure, parasites, fencing, and buyer management, Saphire Cove Ranch cannot guarantee future health, temperament, breeding ability, size, color, production, behavior, or performance after the animal leaves our care.
8. Veterinary Care & Buyer Due Diligence
Buyers are encouraged to ask questions before purchase and to consult a livestock veterinarian, agricultural advisor, or experienced cattle professional regarding care, vaccination, parasite control, minerals, nutrition, transport, quarantine, and long-term management.
Any veterinary inspection requested by the buyer before pickup or delivery must be arranged and paid for by the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Deposits & Reservations
A deposit may be required to reserve a Mini Highland cow or calf. Unless otherwise stated in writing, deposits are non-refundable because they remove the animal from public availability and prevent other buyers from reserving the same animal.
A reservation is not confirmed until Saphire Cove Ranch receives the required deposit and confirms the reservation in writing by email, text message, invoice, receipt, or other documented communication.
If a buyer fails to complete payment, fails to communicate, or fails to arrange pickup or delivery within the agreed timeframe, Saphire Cove Ranch may cancel the reservation, retain the deposit, and make the animal available to another buyer.
10. Payment Terms
Payment terms may vary depending on the animal, sale type, invoice, reservation arrangement, pickup date, transport plan, or written agreement. Accepted payment methods may include methods approved by Saphire Cove Ranch at the time of sale.
Full payment must be received and cleared before cattle are released to the buyer, transporter, or any third party unless Saphire Cove Ranch has agreed otherwise in writing.
Buyers are responsible for any payment processing fees, bank fees, transfer fees, returned payment fees, or collection costs associated with their purchase.
11. Incorrect Pricing or Listing Errors
Saphire Cove Ranch makes reasonable efforts to ensure that pricing, descriptions, photos, and availability information are accurate. However, errors may occur. If cattle are listed with incorrect pricing, incorrect availability, inaccurate information, or an obvious mistake, Saphire Cove Ranch reserves the right to correct the error, cancel the transaction, decline the sale, or issue a refund if payment has already been made.
12. Pickup Terms
Buyers must arrange pickup within the agreed timeframe. Pickup must be scheduled in advance and confirmed by Saphire Cove Ranch. The buyer is responsible for arriving on time with safe, appropriate, and livestock-ready transportation.
Saphire Cove Ranch reserves the right to refuse release of cattle if, in our reasonable opinion, the buyer’s trailer, vehicle, handling method, transport plan, or pickup arrangement is unsafe or unsuitable for a living animal.
If a pickup appointment is missed, delayed, or cancelled by the buyer, Saphire Cove Ranch may reschedule at its discretion. Additional boarding, care, feed, or administrative fees may apply if pickup is delayed beyond the agreed date.
13. Transport & Delivery
Buyers are responsible for arranging safe and suitable transport unless Saphire Cove Ranch specifically agrees to assist with transport coordination. We recommend using experienced, livestock-capable transporters who understand cattle handling, trailer safety, weather concerns, rest, ventilation, and humane animal movement.
If a third-party transporter is used, that transporter is not considered an employee, agent, or representative of Saphire Cove Ranch unless expressly stated in writing. Once the animal is released to the buyer or transporter, risk of loss, injury, illness, stress, delay, or transport-related issue transfers to the buyer.
14. Risk of Loss & Transfer of Responsibility
Responsibility for cattle transfers to the buyer once the animal leaves Saphire Cove Ranch, is loaded into the buyer’s trailer, is released to a third-party transporter, or is otherwise transferred according to the agreed arrangement.
After transfer, the buyer assumes all responsibility for care, veterinary expenses, injury, illness, transport stress, death, feed, shelter, handling, quarantine, and any other costs associated with the animal.
15. Returns, Cancellations & Exchanges
Because cattle are living animals, sales are generally final. Buyers do not have a general right to cancel an order, return cattle, exchange cattle, upgrade, or downgrade after purchase, pickup, delivery, or transfer of possession.
Any return, cancellation, refund, exchange, or credit is at the sole discretion of Saphire Cove Ranch and must be approved in writing. If a return is approved, the buyer may be responsible for return transport, veterinary expenses, care costs, and any costs associated with the resolution.
16. No Guarantee of Future Use or Performance
Saphire Cove Ranch does not guarantee that any animal will meet a specific future use, including breeding, showing, milk production, temperament expectations, exact mature size, exact adult color, resale value, training result, or compatibility with other animals.
Buyers are responsible for evaluating whether a specific animal is suitable for their goals, property, experience level, and care plan before purchasing.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saphire Cove Ranch shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the website, reliance on website content, purchase of cattle, ownership of cattle, transport issues, veterinary costs, injury, illness, loss of profits, loss of use, or any other claim.
In all cases, the maximum liability of Saphire Cove Ranch, if any, shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the buyer for the specific animal giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
18. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Saphire Cove Ranch, its owners, employees, contractors, representatives, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, veterinary expenses, legal fees, or demands arising from your breach of these terms, your use of the website, your purchase or ownership of cattle, your transport arrangements, your handling of cattle, or your failure to provide proper care.

This website may contain links to third-party websites, resources, payment platforms, transporters, veterinarians, agricultural resources, or social media platforms. These links are provided for convenience only. Saphire Cove Ranch does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, policies, pricing, or actions.
20. Privacy Policy

21. Account, Passwords & Security
If this website offers customer accounts, enquiry portals, reservation systems, or payment access, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You may not share your password or account access with unauthorized third parties.
Saphire Cove Ranch may suspend or terminate access to accounts, services, reservations, or website features if misuse, fraud, security risk, non-payment, or policy violation is suspected.
22. Changes to Website, Pricing & Policies
Saphire Cove Ranch reserves the right to update website content, cattle descriptions, pricing, availability, images, policies, payment terms, pickup terms, transport guidance, and these terms at any time without prior notice.
Any changes are effective when posted to the website unless otherwise stated. Continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
23. No Waiver
Failure by Saphire Cove Ranch to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not be considered a waiver of that provision or any other provision. Any waiver must be made in writing to be effective.
24. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under this Agreement without written permission from Saphire Cove Ranch. Saphire Cove Ranch may assign or transfer its rights and obligations as part of a business transfer, restructuring, sale, or operational change.
25. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state in which Saphire Cove Ranch is legally registered or principally operates, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Any dispute arising from this website, cattle sale, reservation, payment, pickup, transport, or these terms should first be addressed through good-faith communication between the buyer and Saphire Cove Ranch. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties may pursue available legal remedies in the appropriate jurisdiction.
Publisher note: Replace this section with the specific governing state, county, arbitration clause, venue, or dispute process approved by your attorney.
26. Legal Fees
If Saphire Cove Ranch must take legal action to enforce its rights, collect unpaid amounts, recover damages, or respond to a buyer’s breach of this Agreement, the buyer may be responsible for reasonable legal fees, collection costs, court costs, and related expenses to the extent permitted by law.
27. Severability
If any part of this Agreement is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be interpreted as closely as possible to reflect the original intent of the parties.
28. Entire Agreement
This Agreement, together with any written invoice, sales agreement, receipt, reservation confirmation, or written communication from Saphire Cove Ranch, represents the entire agreement between you and Saphire Cove Ranch regarding your use of the website and purchase of cattle.
Website FAQs, care guides, breed information, social media posts, messages, and educational content are provided for general information and should not override the specific terms of a written invoice, reservation confirmation, or sales agreement.
